opportunity to learn more about the gardens history and the developments which are now taking place. Following this you will then retire to the Courtyard restaurant to finish off the evening with a three course dinner. A non refundable Deposit of £10.00pp is required at the time of booking. Please provide Wortley Hall with your meal choices 14 days before arrival. Please note sturdy footwear is required as some areas are not paved.

GREAT NORTH SWIM IN AID OF THE CYSTIC FIBROSIS TRUST

The Great North Swim is the biggest open water swimming event in the UK in the stunning location of the Low Wood Marina, Windermere in the Lake District.

Safe in the knowledge that expert kayakers and safety boats are with you every stroke of the way, whether you´re new to outdoor swimming or highly experienced, please join us at what promises to be another fabulous swim challenge.

The 2-mile swim kicks off the weekend on Friday 22 June with the 1/2 mile and one mile swims taking place on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 June.

Here´s how you can swim with Team CF in the 2012 Great North Swim:

1) entries are now open but will fill quickly so please book your place online now, then let us know and we´ll ask you to please raise whatever you can for us!

You can also select ´Cystic Fibrosis Trust´ when you enter, that way the event organisers will confirm to us that you have a place!

2) we also have a small number of charity places available in return for your pledge to raise at least £150 for us. But, the more people who get their own places whilst entries remain open, the bigger the splash Team CF can make in June.

It´s a truly exhilarating event that will take your breathe away for its surroundings as much as the swim itself.

WENSLEYDALE RAILWAY 40 MILE COIN CHALLENGE

Wensleydale Railway will celebrate its 9th Anniversary on the 4th July 2012. To celebrate this achievement we are issuing a challenge to all our members, volunteers and the local community.
On Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July 2012 , a 36 hour fundraiser will try to collect and lay out at Leeming Bar Station 40 miles of coins (70 400 yards). This is the original length of the line to which the Wensleydale Railway Association is continuing our efforts to re instate. All the proceeds of the fundraiser will be used as part of our refurbishment of the track to Northallerton.
WRA is asking you to support us in our challenge by collecting 1p & 2p coins and donating them to us. Coins can be left at Leeming Bar Station before the event or brought to Leeming Bar Station over the weekend of the event.
A Discount off the days fare will be given to anyone making a donation
